In a Jam and Loving it 

My very rudimentary knowledge of Spanish is at least enough to grasp that a descarga is a musical jam session with distinct Cuban roots. Drummer and band leader Evan Luna, an American, has a beauty of one called “Descarga Valenciana,” and it soars for seven-plus glorious minutes on a foundation from Cuba and well beyond.
