Founded by acclaimed Scottish fiddler Alasdair Fraser, Crisol de Cuerda is a weeklong international string camp set in Spain, set to take place July 27–August 3, 2025. The gathering is dedicated to musical exchange and cultural celebration. Inspired by Fraser’s long-standing connection to Spain, both through his tours with Skyedance and Natalie Haas, the camp was conceived as a creative crossroads where regional Spanish traditions meet global string styles.
Now entering its latest edition, Crisol de Cuerda continues to spotlight the richness of Spain’s regional music and dance while fostering dialogue with traditions from the Celtic world, Appalachian old-time, and beyond. The 2025 program will feature a diverse faculty and workshops exploring musical intersections through collaboration, improvisation, and community.
