Sierra Nevada World Music Festival to Return in 2023

The Sierra Nevada World Music Festival is set to make a comeback in 2023. The event is scheduled for June 16-18, 2023, and will be held at the Mendocino County Fairgrounds in Boonville, California, USA. The first lineup announcement features an impressive list of artists, including Luciano, Tarrus Riley, Derrick Morgan, Protoje, Kabaka Pyramid, Cocoa Tea, Bassekou Kouyate, Ken Boothe, Lila Ike, Soul Syndicate, The Clarendonians, Wesli, and Norma Fraser.

Since its inception in 1994, the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival has been a beloved fixture in the California festival scene, offering music lovers a chance to come together for three days of family-friendly fun. The festival was founded and programmed by Warren Smith, who crafted a one-of-a-kind blend of roots reggae and world music that delivered countless unforgettable performances over the course of 25 years. Following Warren’s passing in 2021 and the pandemic-related hiatus, fans of the festival are eagerly anticipating its return.

“This year, the time is right for us to gather again in celebration of Peace, Love & Music in the beautiful forests and rolling hills of Mendocino,” said festival organizers.
