Lucía La Bronce Takes Desplante Dance Prize at Cante de las Minas

Seville flamenco dancer Lucía Fernández González, known as Lucía La Bronce, won the Desplante at the 65th Festival Internacional del Cante de las Minas in La Unión, Murcia, Spain.

The Desplante, the festival’s top competitive award for flamenco dance, came with a €6,000 prize. La Bronce secured first place after her performance at the Antiguo Mercado Público.

Meanwhile, Granada dancer Susana Sánchez Jiménez, who performs as Susana Sánchez, finished second. She received €3,000.
