Slovenian avant-folk trio Širom will return to the UK in September 2026. They will play London’s 100 Club on Thursday, 3 September, and The Rose Hill in Brighton, on Friday, 4 September. Additional concerts include Fire & Water in Sowerby Bridge on Friday, 18 September, as well as the End of the Road Festival in Dorset on Saturday, 5 September, and Hidden Notes Festival in Stroud on Saturday, 19 September.
Širom have recently rolled out a new live video, recorded at the state51 Factory. The band performed two songs – “Curls Upon the Neck, Ribs Upon the Mountain” and “The Hangman’s Shadow Fifteen Years” – both from their latest album.
Širom released their fifth album, In the Wind of Night, Hard-Fallen Incantations Whisper in October 2025 (tak:til/ Glitterbeat). The group used nearly two dozen instruments (some of which they handcrafted), and mesmerizing compositions that often exceed ten minutes in length. Group members include Ana Kravanja, Iztok Koren, and Samo Kutin.
