Shavgurov’s expertly crafted melodies also feature a selection of tunes from neighboring peoples, further enriching the sonic tapestry of this captivating album.
Recorded on July 28, 2020, in the House of Culture in Elista, “Khalmg Dombr” presents the rich musical heritage of the Kalmyk people, as interpreted by a virtuosic performer at the top of his craft.
