Adelaide, in southern Australia, was designated in 2015 as City of Music in Australia and is a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. Adelaide is the home of WOMADelaide, Australia’s biggest world music festival.

ARIA Awards
The Australian Record Industry Association awards (ARIA Awards) recognize excellence and innovation across all genres of Australian music.
There are 28 award categories – 26 are peer-voted by a voting panel of industry members. Two awards (Highest Selling Album and Highest Selling Single) are based on audited sales results. The Hall of Fame and Lifetime Achievement Awards are awarded at the discretion of the ARIA Board.
