The Espárrago Music Festival to Present the Best of Granada’s Mestizo Fusion Bands

On Saturday, July 12 Huétor Tájar (Granada province in southern Spain) will host the second edition of Espárrago Music Festival (Asparagus Music Festival). The Multipurpose Hall in Huétor Tájar will showcase the best dance-oriented bands in the mestizo music genre including headliners El Puchero Del Hortelano and E.A.E (Eskorzo Afrobeat Experience) along with new acts Tatamka, Sonido Vegetal, Los Vecinos del Callejon and local bands 29 seis 70, Game Gómez, Hippie Jump and Ezquiel Carlucci Band.

El Puchero is the best known mestizo band, has six albums and tours worldwide. EAE (Eskorzo Afrobeat Experience) is the rising star in the genre with an explosive mix of bullanga, rock, reggae, funk, soul, Balkan rhythms, Mediterranean sounds, ska, and tango. They have become the most iconic Spanish mestizo and Latin scene groups. Tatamka, a leading local band in the 1990s, is back together.

 

 

 

 

The festival receives support from the City of Huétor Tájar, the Granada Provincial government and the Regulatory Board of Huétor Tájar Wild Green Asparragus.
