White Sun – En Busca (White Sun, 2023)

Grammy-winning Los Angeles-based band White Sun unexpectedly crafted their first-ever Spanish album, En Busca, when singer and composer Gurujas Khalsa felt a strong urge to materialize the songs that came to her. With Latin/Hispanic music’s global popularity, the album adds a luminous tranquility to the conversation, honoring their Spanish-speaking fans.

Gurujas’ own experiences in Latin America influenced the album’s creation. White Sun’s music, a delightful and engaging combination of New Age, progressive pop, electronica, and Latin elements, aims to uplift listeners’ spirits. Despite not having major label backing, their albums have reached millions of listeners worldwide and have had positive effects on Alzheimer’s patients and stressed students. The band looks forward to performing the new music live and cherishes the transformative power of their songs, which connect with listeners in diverse ways.

White Sun was formed in Los Angeles, California in 2015. The band consists of Gurujas, Harijiwan, and Adam Berry. They won their first Grammy Award for the album White Sun II in 2017 and their second Grammy for Mystic Mirror on February 5, 2023.

With an extensive discography of 9 full-length albums and nearly 200 songs, White Sun’s music regularly reaches the top position on Billboard and other global charts.

White Sun’s musical style has evolved from new-age roots to incorporate elements of pop, Latin, alternative, world music, and electronica genres. Their music is characterized by clear vocals, sophisticated instrumentation, and innovative use of the Gong.

The group is renowned for their captivating live performances. In 2019, Gurujas, the magnetic lead singer, performed the national anthem at the Dodgers stadium. They also opened for Dionne Warwick during her 2021 tour. In 2022, White Sun released a live album titled Interpretation of Dreams.
