Ermanno Panta & Banda Zeitun – Llengua de Terra (2023)

Following the album “Isla Musa” (2019), Sicilian composer, singer and multi-instrumentalist Ermano Panta is releasing new music these days under the title “Llengua de Terra”. The album sees the participation of his fellow friends of Banda Zeitun, and special guests Martin Melendez on cello and Vincent Thomas on drums.

“Llengua de Terra” presents an exquisite set of songs infused with beautifully crafted contemporary jazz, flamenco, and chamber influences. Ermanno Panta is currently based on the Spanish island of Formentera in the Mediterranean, and his influences are marked by his Italian heritage and his new adopted land.

This album is completing “Isla Musa” with seven new tracks and songs where jazz meets various genres, including Italian traditional music, and flamenco. It is full of the perfumes of the Mediterranean islands, and reflects my own personal journey as a composer and human being who feels the world through various emotions. Moods, more than genres, are at the core of this journey. Each track has its own alchemy.”
