Mundial Montréal will be showcasing Canadian artists at the upcoming world music conference WOMEX in Lisbon. Portugal. The Canadian artists include

Djely Tapa

Djely Tapa is a Malian-Canadian musician who is recognized by her powerful voice, performing in Mandinka, Bambara and Kassonke languages. She was named Révélation Radio-Canada in world music in 2019, received the Juno for Best world music album in 2020 for Barokan, and the Prix Opus for Inclusion and diversity offered by Conseil Québécois de la musique in 2021.

AfrotroniX

AfrotroniX is an Afrofuturistic group lead by Chadian guitarist Caleb Rimtobaye. They merge electronic music with African rhythms and electric Tuareg blues through urban dance performances and digital art. Their live shows consist of original creations, mixing an electro DJ and live instruments.
