On the Path to St. Patrick: Ava

Wildflower (Ava World Music, 2021) is the first solo album from Irish singer Ava, scheduled for release April 9, 2021. This is the artistic name of Éabha McMahon, an outstanding vocalist who previously performed with two of Ireland’s most famous acts, choral ensemble Anuna and later as lead vocalist with Celtic Woman with whom she recorded five albums.

Ava ventures beyond Irish music by incorporating world music influences. Wildflower is an exquisite album, with beautiful lead vocals and overdubs, lavish arrangements, upbeat global percussion and slow tempo ethereal moments as well.

The lineup includes Ava on vocals; Gavin Murphy on piano and keyboards; Bill Shanley on guitars; Noel Eccles on percussion; Liam Bradley on drums and percussion; and John O’Brien on whistle.

The single Wildflowers will be available March 17, 2021.

St. Patrick’s Day will take place March 17, 2021. St. Patrick’s Day celebrates the music and culture of Ireland and the Irish diaspora in many countries.
