New Event Virginia Key GrassRoots Festival to Be Held in Miami February 2012

The 1st Annual Virginia Key GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance will take place February 9-12th, 2012 at The Historic Virginia Key Beach Park in Miami, Florida. Over 4 days, on 4 stages, 55 bands will perform reggae, bluegrass, cajun, hiphop, Latin, R&B, zydeco, African, roots rock & more.

Festival highlights include Chaka Khan, Del McCoury, Donna The Buffalo, Arrested Development, Fishbone, Diali Cissokho, BeauSoleil, Locos Por Juana, Toubab Krewe, & Mishka.

The festival is full of happenings & interactive arts experiences – dance workshops, musical instrument workshops & competitions, a kid’s village, craft vendors, gourmet international foods, local microbrews & more. GrassRoots is a family-friendly festival that creates a platform for multicultural community engagement and celebration.
