L’Alba’s Vivu has reached the top of the World Music Charts Europe for August 2026. The release represents the Corsican group’s first live album. Vivu features live interpretations of songs from L’Alba’s studio catalog through subtle musical nuances, expressive vocals, and the natural energy of the concert setting.
The group continues to demonstrate that Corsican musical tradition remains vibrant and continually evolving. Its repertoire combines respect for Corsican polyphony with influences from across the Mediterranean, including North Africa, Italy, Greece, and Portugal. Consequently, L’Alba has established itself as one of the leading voices in Corsica’s contemporary music scene.
L’Alba features Laurent Barbolosi (vocals, violin), Antoine-Léonard Belgodere (guitar, mandolin), Eric Ferrari (bass), François Guironnet (vocals, wind instruments), Sébastien Lafarge (vocals, harmonium, guitar), Ghjuvanfrancescu Mattei (vocals, guitar, mandola), and Petrughjuvanni Mattei (vocals, guitar).
