Trobozanke – Šokačko Kolo: Music from Eastern Croatia (Antonovka Records, 2025)
In traditional Slavonian villages, trobozanke referred to the most skilled female church singers, typically those who sang with the greatest confidence and stood closest to the altar. The term derives from trobozan, a folk word for altar. While men sang in church choirs and never near the altar, the name Trobozanke highlights the ensemble’s focus on female vocal traditions.
on Šokačko Kolo: Music from Eastern Croatia, the group presents joyful, authentic folk music from Eastern Slavonia, Baranja, Srijem, and Bačka, regions historically inhabited by the Šokci, a Croatian sub-ethnic group.
Ensemble members: Filip Golubov, Marija Golubov, Tomislav Kovačević, Martin Kovačević, Tamara Čer, Ivana Čik, Morana Lakotić, and Tomislav Livaja (leader and instrumentalist).

The album was recorded on October 27, 2024, at the home of Tomislav Livaja in the village of Sarvaš, Osijek-Baranja County, Croatia.
