Rocío Márquez won the 2026 MIN Award (Spain’s indie music awards) for Best Flamenco Album for Himno Vertical (2025), her latest release. The singer from Huelva received the honor at the 18th edition of the Premios MIN, organized by Spain’s Unión Fonográfica Independiente (UFi) to recognize independent music.
In the same category, the nominees also included José de los Camarones, Kiko Veneno, Laura Vital, and Rubio de Pruna.
Himno Vertical, self-released and co-produced with Pedro Rojas Ogáyar, stands out for its rejection of conventional approaches to composition, performance, and listening.

Musically, the record brings together western classical influences, flamenco forms, and experimental elements. Márquez performs with accompaniment from Spanish guitar and electric guitar, and the song styles include flamenco styles such as fandangos, tangos, verdiales, soleá, seguiriya, malagueña, and bulerías. Alongside original lyrics, the album incorporates texts by William Shakespeare, Juan de la Encina, and Friedrich Schiller.
The album artwork features art direction and design by Lugadero, with photography by Alejandro Cayetano.
At the awards gala, Márquez collected the prize in a moment documented by Premios MIN photographer Daniel Vázquez.
