Remedy Tree, the forward-thinking progressive bluegrass band based in Florida, has announced the release of their new single, “Say Darlin’ Say.” The song features acclaimed clawhammer banjoist Victor Furtado. The song will be featured in the forthcoming album Beyond What I Can See, out September 12, 2025
Rooted in Appalachian tradition, “Say Darlin’ Say” is a timeless folk song first recorded by Ernest Stoneman and the Sweet Brothers in 1928. Lead singer and fiddler Gabriel Acevedo discovered the tune through one of his biggest influences, Jubal’s Kin. “It captivated me right away,” says Acevedo. “Since then, I was determined to record it.”
This fresh rendition presents Remedy Tree’s signature mix of tradition and innovation, brought to life by an exceptional lineup: Gabriel Acevedo on lead vocal and fiddle, Abigail Acevedo on bass and harmony vocals, Nathan Beaumont on guitar and harmony vocals, Bryce Griffin on mandolin, and special guest Victor Furtado.
