Gregorio Moya Lara, known as “Gregorio Moya,” claimed the “Lámpara Minera” in the flamenco singing category at the 64th International Festival of Cante de las Minas. Born in Argamasilla de Alba (Ciudad Real), he performed with guitarist Paco Cortés, impressing both the jury and the audience.

Moya collected four awards before securing the top prize: Group 3 for mariana (€2,000), Group 2 for malagueña (€3,000), cartageneras (€3,000), and first prize for mineras (€6,000). The “Lámpara Minera” added €15,000 to the trophy. After repeating the minera as the newly crowned winner, he pledged to honor the award wherever he goes and dedicated his victory to several loved ones, including his late father.
Among the other singing finalists, José Plantón Heredia, “José del Calli” (Córdoba), won the “Murcianas and Other Mining Songs Award” for his levantica. Francisco Javier Heredia Hernández, “Francisco Heredia” (Jaén), earned the “Tarantas Award,” with the same prize amount as the previous category.
