Renowned Vocalist Nidia Góngora to Present the Rhythms of the Colombian Pacific on her European Tour in September 2023

Masterful singer Nidia Góngora will return to Europe in September 2023. The acclaimed Colombian artist is set to perform at Atlantikaldia in Rentería (Spain) as well as in Granada, Madrid, Berlin, Tenerife, and Santiago de Compostela along with DJ and producer Tatiana ‘Tatitron’ Soto. Together they introduce a repertoire of the most outstanding musical hits by Nidia Góngora and her music from the Pacific Coast of Colombia from an electronic perspective.

Nidia is the most representative artist of this style and the one who has elevated the Pacific Electronic genre in the music industry. Nidia’s versatile, innovative music fuses lyrics and rhythms such as currulaos, bundes, jugas, rumbas, lullabies with a touch of folk, electronic beats and experimental sounds.

“Maestra Nidia Góngora” is the most recognized singer in the Colombian Pacific, winner of the Shock Award and nominated for the Latin Grammy for best folklore album in 2019 with Canalón de Timbiquí.

Nidia is an expert and researcher of traditional South American Pacific music. Throughout her more than 22 years of experience as a composer and performer, Nidia has managed to build bridges between the traditional music of her native Timbiquí (Cauca) and other world music genres.

She shares three successful albums with Quantic: the EP Muévelo Negro (2013) and the LPs Curao (2017) and Almas Conectadas (2021-22), as well as a multitude of singles. She has also been a leading and featured artist in groups where she collaborates such as La Pacifican Power, Ondatrópica, Pacifico Sinfónico, Bahía, AleKuma, Herencia de Timbiquí, De Palenque a Matongue and Dizzy Mandjeku, Pacífico Sinfónico, Ondatrópica, The Bongo Hop, Búho, Montoya, Malecón, Orishas and more.
