The Global Toronto Music Conference 2023: The Power of Music to celebrate diversity

In the heart of Canada’s bustling metropolis, music enthusiasts, industry professionals, and artists from around the world will converge for a remarkable event – the Global Toronto Music Conference 2023. This four-day extravaganza, held from September 19 to September 22nd, transcends conventional boundaries, blending the vibrancy of music with the richness of cultural exchange.

Hosted at the state-of-the-art Toronto Convention Center, the conference is a testament to the city’s status as a global hub for creativity and innovation. Renowned for its diverse musical landscape, Toronto provided the perfect backdrop for this international celebration of music’s unifying power.

The conference showcases an eclectic range of genres, catering to every musical palate. From the soulful rhythms of jazz to the heart-pounding beats of world music and electronic dance music, and from the poignant melodies of classical compositions to the raw energy of rock, the event presented a harmonious tapestry of sounds that resonated with attendees from all walks of life.

For this year’s showcases, 20 artists from a pool of nearly 300 submissions were carefully selected by a jury of five music professionals. They will perform and showcase their music for everyone to enjoy. The heart of GT23 is the opportunity for attendees to experience their showcase performances and enhance opportunities for collaboration.

The lineup for this occasion will include Moneka Arabic Jazz, Laura Niquay, Blisk, Jer, Les Tireux D’ Roches, Okavango African Orchestra, Kizaba, Moskitto Bar, Ariane Racicot, Noe Lira, Masmoudi Quartet, Diogo Ramos, Lara Klaus, Willows,  Kanen, Waahli, Eliane Cuevas and Jeremy Ledbetter, among others.
