Multi-instrumentalist, producer, and sound engineer Matt Mansfield is behind the Piper Street Sound project. On Black Eyed Peace he presents four laid back and bouncy instrumental songs rooted in reggae and Jamaican dub.
The musical pieces feature reggae beats and dub effects, intricate guitar and organ melodies, and brass riffs. The album’s special guest is Andy Bassford, one of the finest guitarists in the reggae world.
The lineup includes Matt Mansfield on guitar, keyboards, bass and percussion; Andy Bassford and James Keane on guitars; Brian Daggett on drums; John Arthur Brown on akete drum; Christo Case on keyboards; Will Scruggs on tenor saxophone; Jonathan Lloyd on trombone; and Dashill Smith on trumpet.
