Armenian music ensemble VAN Quartet has a new album titled “Return.” The ensemble performs a combination of jazz and Armenian music.
The lineup includes Armenian piano player, composer and founder Vahagn Hayrapetyan; duduk master Emmanuel Hovhannisyan (Armenia), bassist Makar Novikov (Russia) and percussionist Vartan Babayan (Russia).
“Return” was recorded in 2020 in Moscow with the support of Moscow’s acclaimed jazz club Esse.
