Russian Ethno Electronica Band Vetka Releases Gorsti

Moscow-based folk band Vetka has a new album titled Gorsti. The group performs what is described as ethno electronica. Vetka recreates Russian folklore, emphasizing its features with contemporary beats and sounds.

The group includes three female vocalists: Antonina Kochergina, Irina Prosvirnina, and Svetlana Shuldeshova; along with drummer Vasily Dorokhov.

Vetka intends to acquaint listeners with little-known compositions that are undeservedly semi-ignored in live performances. These songs were diligently collected in folklore expeditions.
