Librar is the outstanding debut album from Israeli percussionist, composer and producer Sangit. The accessible album contains a wide-range of musical influences from across the globe, combining tradition and modernity. You’ll find a tasty mix of Gnawa trance music, West African and Congolese beats, seductive Cuban rhythms, Ethiopian influences, jazz and hip-shaking funk.

Sangit describes Sangit as “a reflection of my creative momentum. I am passionate and fanatical about my music and this album represents my spiritual journey, my evolution.”

Librar includes musicians from Mali, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Morocco, Iran and Congo, as well as Israeli musicians characterizing multiple genres and traditions. Additionally, Librar features 9 different languages and 11 different singers from around the planet.

The album includes Ethiopian-Israeli jazz saxophonist and vocalist Abate Berihun; Marc Kakon and Lital Gabai on vocals; Kadi Coulibaly on vocals; Shlomi Alon on flute; Elran Dekel on vocals; Haim Ulliel on vocals; Chris Bakalanga on vocals; Djely Tapa on vocals; Ali Overing on guitar and vocals; Natalie Wamba Berry on vocals; Kutiman on keyboards; and AvevA on vocals.
