Music from the Coffee Lands

A Putumayo Blend - Music from the Coffee Lands
Music from the Coffee Lands (Putumayo)

This compilation is a great mix of beverage tour and chillout music. As with related compilations such as Music from the Tea Lands and Music from the Wine Lands, education and entertainment are fluidly mixed.

Coffee has always had romantic resonance, and this album highlights the danceable Afro-Cuban Congolese rumba by Ricardo Lemvo and Makina Loca, complex vocal compositions of Colombia’s Claudia Gomez, and slow sensuous reggae groove by Jamaica’s Ernest Ranglin. Other coffee-growing countries featured in this compilation are from Kenya, Brazil, Costa Rica, Hawaii, and Zimbabwe.

Slip in this CD when you take your next coffee break or get home from a hot day outside!
