La Mar de Músicas Unveils International Lineup Ahead of July Festival

One month remains until the start of La Mar de Músicas, the Spanish world music and pop festival organized by Cartagena City Council, which will take place from July 17 to 25. This year’s 31st edition places Ecuador at the center of its program. In addition, the festival will also highlight artists from 16 countries in the Americas, Africa, and Europe.

The lineup features prominent names such as Sílvia Pérez Cruz, Judeline, Maria Arnal, Silvana Estrada, Carminho, Lila Downs, Xoel López, Rodrigo Cuevas, and Rubén Blades. In addition, audiences can expect performances from Oumou Sangaré, Monsieur Periné, Sona Jobarteh, pablopablo, and Niño de Elche alongside Raül Refree.

Ecuador’s musical diversity will receive special attention through performances by Machaka, Lolabúm, San Pedro Bonfim y sus milagros, LaTorre, Papaya Dada, Paola Navarrete, Humazapas, Jatun Mama, Swing Original Monks, and Margarita Laso. Their appearances will reflect a broad range of styles, from Andean music and pasillo to pop and electronic sounds.
