Flamenco Singer and Educator Olivia Molina

Born in 1975, Olivia Molina, is a talented flamenco singer from Huelva. She began her journey at the age of fourteen, participating in numerous fandango competitions in Huelva and its province, where she secured several first prizes. Over the years, she immersed herself in the flamenco world, performing for dancers and as a soloist, developing her skills alongside renowned artists such as Arcángel and maestro Manolo Sanlúcar.

She has graced various flamenco stages, including La Casa de la Memoria in the Santa Cruz neighborhood of Seville, and the Flamenco tablao in Tokyo for six months. Molina has also contributed to the Flamenco Workshop in Seville, accompanying young dancers in Mont Marsan and Switzerland.

Her extensive repertoire includes performances at prestigious festivals in Spain and overseas.

Among her notable discography are collaborations with renowned artists like Arcángel, Juan Carlos Romero, Duquende, and contributions to various flamenco albums and soundtracks. She also released her debut solo album titled Hijos del Corazón.

In addition to her artistic endeavors, Molina has been imparting her expertise in flamenco singing through teaching roles in institutions such as the “Peña Flamenca de Almonte,” the “Peña Flamenca de La Orden,” and the Municipal School of Music and Dance in Espartinas, both in Huelva and Seville.

Olivia Molina’s debut album, Hijos del Corazón, produced and directed by guitarist Manuel de la Luz, delves into themes of love, generosity, and the profound responsibility of adopting a child. The album, rooted in traditional flamenco structures while exploring innovative musical forms, presents Molina’s rich vocal skill across various flamenco styles, from soulful soleá to vibrant rumba and fandango de Huelva, among others.
