Lucrecia Carrizo, an Argentine singer-songwriter and cellist, has been living in Barcelona, Spain, for a year. Her music, characterized by acoustic simplicity, invites listeners to embrace tranquility and tenderness. Drawing from Argentine folklore and global musical influences, her distinctive style emphasizes the interplay of voice and cello.
Commencing her musical journey at age 4 at the Domingo Zípoli Institute, Lucrecia graduated at 17 with a diploma in “Choir Preparer.” Subsequently, she pursued higher education at the Faculty of Arts of the National University of Córdoba. In 2017, she attained a degree in Musical Education, followed by a 2022 graduation with a specialization in Instrumental Perfection – Cello.
In 2022, Lucrecia released her debut EP Arena, produced by Juan Arabel and Federico Lucero. This marked her solo debut, leading to performances and tours across Argentina and Spain. Prior to her solo career, she contributed to groups like Flor Sur Cello Trío, releasing the album Nido, and Duo Tren. Additionally, she has undertaken numerous concert engagements and tours.
In 2024, Lucrecia unveiled her single “Corazón de Luna” as a solo artist. Beyond her solo endeavors, she serves as a session musician, contributing to recording and live performances for diverse projects, including Rocío Faks Trío and Luismi Partera.
