Acclaimed Afro Roots Artist Rocky Dawuni Set to Perform at SOB’s in New York City

Ghanaian musician and activist Rocky Dawuni will be heading to the US for a series of shows, starting with a special performance at SOB’s in New York City on July 8th. He will also appear at Music Haven in Schenectady, New York on July 9th and at Grand Performances in Los Angeles on July 22nd for the Afro Funke’ 20th Anniversary Celebration.

Rocky Dawuni has been touring the world, spreading his positive Afro Roots sound. He recently released a new video for his collaboration with Ghanaian Highlife sensation Kyekyeku titled “Africa Till I Die,” which is gaining popularity in Africa and beyond. He also featured on the track “Afreeca The Future” with famed reggae group Morgan Heritage and Lord Alajiman of Daara J fame, as part of their album “The Homeland,” which features various African artists.

Earlier this year, Rocky Dawuni was nominated for a GRAMMY Award for “Best Global Music Performance” for his single “Neva Bow Down” featuring Blvk H3ro. He has more collaborations planned and is currently working on his 9th studio album, continuing to create conscious music that brings generations and cultures together.
