American vocalist Amelia Hogan performs beautiful traditional folk music from Ireland, Scotland, Britain, United States, and contemporary styles as well. On her album “Taking Flight,” Hogan uses her admirable vocal skill to deliver captivating storytelling.

The album consists of 16 Celtic music flavored tracks, including one original composition, the title track, which is a celebratory a cappella piece in four-part harmony. Additionally, Hogan covers traditional, public domain songs as well as renditions of songs by contemporary artists such as Laurie Lewis, Lankum, David Francey, Anais Mitchell, and Jez Lowe.
