Antonis Antoniou, the acclaimed Cypriot musician, composer, and producer known for his remarkable contributions as a member of Monsieur Doumani and Trio Tekke, has released a new EP, a mere eight months following the release of his highly acclaimed second solo album, “Throisma.”
Antoniou extended an invitation to some of the world’s top DJs and producers, inviting them to conceive an alternative interpretation of six original pieces from the album. This initiative transformed Throisma, imbuing it with profound electronic grooves and seductive sonic tapestries.
The resulting digital EP, aptly named “Throisma Remixed,” features Brazilian producer, Maga Bo; New York’s celebrated DJ, producer, and label owner, Nickodemus; DJ Panko, co-founder of the legendary Spanish band Ojos De Brujo; British/Mauritian virtuosos, the brothers Reginald Omas Mamode IV and Mo Kolours; and Antoniou himself.
