Various Artists – ZZK Sound Vol. 4 (ZZK Records, 2022)

ZZK Records, a label specialized in innovative and underground music from South America, has a new collection of rising talent titled “ZZK Sound Vol. 4.” All the artists featured on ZZK Sound Vol. 4 have something in common, a fascination with electronic music, and its intersections with traditional melodies and rhythms.

“ZZK Sound Vol. 4.” presents new musical explorers and sound designers from Spanish-speaking America and Brazil along with two familiar ZZK artists. Notably, the collection features transfixing electronic melodies, beats and atmospheres intertwined with samples of acoustic instruments and vocals, and natural sounds.

The lineup includes QOQEQA, the new project of Peruvian artist Daniel Valle-Riestra (former Animal Chuki); Pawkarmayta (Peru); Spain-based Ecuadorian act Sebuky; Mangle (Colombia), Cruzloma (Ecuador); Selvagia (Perú/Argentina, Mexico); Yoyoyo (Chile), Akilin (Venezuela) along with veetrans Maga Bo (Brazil) and Tremor (Argentina).
