A.G.A. Trio – Meeting (Naxos World/Arc Music, 2020)
A.G.A Trio is a collaboration between three musicians that come from countries in the Caucasus and Anatolia, in the area where Europe meets Asia. The three virtuoso musicians perform beautiful and evocative melodic music rooted in Armenian, Georgian and Anatolian (eastern Turkish) traditions.
The best known artist is young duduk maestro Arsen Petrosyan from Yerevan in Armenia. His equally talented colleagues are Georgian accordionist Mikail Yakut and Turkish multi-instrumentalist Deniz Mahir Kartal on kaval and guitar.
