Artist Profiles: Dalinda

Dalinda is an a cappella trio based in Budapest, Hungary. The group performs Hungarian folk songs with a modern and polyphonic twist.

The group’s three lead singers were originally Johanna Orbán, Sára Tímár and Julianna Paár. They started performing together while studying at the Folk Music School at Liszt Ferenc (Franz Liszt) Academy of Music.

Dalinda have been playing live music since 2015 and had the opportunity to perform in the most prestigious concert halls of Hungary. During the summer of 2017, they were invited to China, which enabled them to perform their show at several international festivals as well.

Their debut album was released in 2018, premiered at the Fonó Music Hall.

Depending on the venue of the concert, the a cappella trio is sometimes accompanied by an instrumental trio: flutes, cimbalom, bass.

In 2021, the trio released Átjárók. The new lineup included Fanni Nàdasdy, Julianna Paàr and Sàra Tímàr.
