The 2029 lineup included Andreas Møllerhøj on double bass; Lukas Rande on saxophones; Morten Ærø on drums; Nicolai Kornerup on accordion; Bo Rande on flügelhorn; and Emil Goldschmidt on clarinet.
In 2020, Mames Babegenush was selected to perform at WOMEX (the World Music Expo) in Tampere, Finland. Their concert was filmed by Finnish Television and broadcast nationwide. In 2020, the band was also an official selection for the Mundial Showcase at the APAP Conference in New York and the Folk Alliance Conference in New Orleans.
In June, 2022 Mames Babegenush released two singles from their upcoming album, “George’s Romani Cocek” and “Night Flight”. “George’s Romani Cocek” is a traditional cocek arranged and performed by Mames Babegenush. This positive and uplifting traditional Balkan piece features the cimbalom played by Morten Ærø, supporting a vibrant and animated solo by clarinetist Emil Goldschmidt.
“Night Flight” is an original track composed by Bo Rande from Mames Babegenush. It is a soft and continuous flow of accompaniment with a melody delivered by a lone flügelhorn. The piece is designed to take the listener on a cinematic flight across the night sky.
The band in 2022 included Andreas Møllerhøj on double bass, Lukas Rande on saxophone, Henrik Hansen on drums, Nicolai Kornerup on accordion, Bo Rande on flügelhorn and Emil Goldschmidt on clarinet.
