Boston, Massachusetts, USA – On Wednesday, January 12th, 2005,
Cuban pianist Osmany Paredes will be presenting music from his latest CD release
Osmany Paredes con Meduvia at Ryles Jazz Club. He will be supported by a
new group featuring Oscar Stagnaro on electric bass, Bertram Lehmann on drums,
Tim Mayer on saxophones, and percussionist Ernesto Diaz.
Ryles Jazz Club is located at Inman Square, 212 Hampshire St., Cambridge,

at 8:30p.m. and 10:00p.m.Though a new addition to the U.S. music scene, Osmany Paredes has been an
internationally active and acclaimed pianist and composer for a number of years.
Originally from Santa Clara, Cuba, the thirty-something artist recently called
Mexico home for a number of years, while accumulating an impressive portfolio of
performances and recordings.
A graduate of the esteemed National School of Music in Havana, he has
appeared at the renown Havana Jazz Plaza Festival, and worked or recorded with
such legends of Latin American music like Israel “Cachao” Lopez, Jerry Gonzalez,
“Patato” Valdez, Jerry Gonzalez, “El Cigala”, “Chocolate” Armenteros, La
Orquesta America, and Enrique Jorrin.
