Jackson Hollow Contemplates Everyday Moments with “A Lovely Day”

Jackson Hollow has released “A Lovely Day,” the final single from its forthcoming album, Deep Blue Sky, due July 10. Co-written by Rick Lang and labelmate Katelyn Ingardia, the song reflects on gratitude, stillness, and beauty in everyday moments. Its acoustic arrangement highlights the Canadian bluegrass band’s close harmonies, lead vocals, and traditional roots with a modern edge.

The single follows a run of recognition for Jackson Hollow, including a 2024 JUNO Award nomination for Traditional Roots Album of the Year, Canadian Folk Music Award nominations, and a 2025 IBMA Momentum Band of the Year nomination. The band has also reached the Top 3 on the Banjo Radio chart with multiple singles.

Deep Blue Sky continues the group’s focus on storytelling, refined musicianship, and bluegrass tradition. The album also builds on recent honors, including Bluegrass Song of the Year at the Josie Music Awards and Bluegrass Vocalist of the Year for Tianna Lefebvre.
