Geary Allen and John Gooding, the duo performing as Geary & John, have released their debut single, “I’m Just Too Lazy.” The track previews their forthcoming guitar album, Countrified Steak.
Recorded in one take with no overdubs, the bluegrass song features both musicians on vintage 1951 Martin guitars.
The lyrics follow a man whose lack of motivation has left his life in disarray. However, his easygoing outlook gives the song a humorous edge and a candid view of human weakness.
The duo also plans to share behind-the-scenes material, performance clips, and updates through their social media channels.
