Down The Emerald Aisle: Greg Blake Unveils “Nora McNally”

Greg Blake, an award-winning bluegrass vocalist and guitarist, has released “Nora McNally,” his new single.

Songwriter Milan Miller wrote the track. The song is a love story with Irish imagery. Blake notes his long connection to Ireland through multiple tours and collaborations, adding, “Recording this song is an opportunity for me to celebrate that connection.” Miller adds, “Greg Blake and company have captured the essence of the tune.

In the studio, Blake recorded at The Recording Lab at East Tennessee State University, with Prof. Dan Boner producing. The band features Max Etling (bass), Jacob Metz (banjo, dobro), Ethan Church (mandolin), and 16-year-old Junior Master Fiddle Champion Noah Goebel (fiddle).

“I hope you enjoy our presentation of the lyrics and melody so much so that you find yourself tapping your toe and joining in on the chorus,” Blake added. “Who knows … maybe ‘Nora McNally’ will be just the thing that pushes you over the edge to go ahead and take that long overdue trip to the Emerald Isle. Let me know when you’re going!”
