Ironing Board Sam Launches “Man of the Street” Video

Blues musician Ironing Board Sam has rolled out a new video titled “Man of the Street.” Sammie Moore was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina. With a powerful voice and a quirky sense of life’s absurdity, he has been featured on shows from Night Train to PBS News Hour. Notably, Moore invented his own keyboards and once played underwater in a human-sized aquarium that he built on the TV series Real People.

Ironing Board Sam last released an album for Music Maker Foundation in 2012. Sam used an ironing board to hold his early electronic keyboard invention, he called the “button board.” He built a curtain around the edge to look like a Hammond organ, but a kid pulled up the curtain one day and exposed the ironing board, hence the nickname.
