Chris Jones & The Night Drivers Unveil Music video for “The Price Of Falling”

Chris Jones & The Night Drivers have launched their latest music video for “The Price Of Falling,” a bluegrass number that’s quickly ascended to the top of Bluegrass Today’s charts.

With the Night Drivers in tow, a group of bluegrass virtuosos that includes mandolinist Mark Stoffel, banjo player Grace van’t Hof, and award-winning bassist Marshall Wilborn, Jones delivers an ode to the thrilling uncertainty of new love, all set against an insistent bluegrass backdrop. Swapping solos and harmonies with seamless finesse, the band builds momentum as the track progresses, capturing the unbridled emotional rush that’s so expertly captured in the song’s lyrics. And to top it all off, the band’s new music video, shot on location in Asheville, North Carolina, serves as the perfect visual accompaniment to this irresistible song.

This was our first release from what will be the second album by this lineup of the band, so it was thrilling for us to have the song go to No. 1. It continued a No. 1 streak for us and made us feel like we were starting off on the right foot!” says Jones. “We had so much fun recording this song, and the same was true for the video. Playing together in that historic Asheville ballroom with the beautiful light streaming in through the windows got us in just the right frame of mind for it.

Joners adds: “This is just an upbeat kind of song I wrote about the highs and lows of falling in love. One way or the other, it changes how your world looks, whether it’s your first crush at age 7 or the more experienced version! We really had fun with this one in the studio.”
