Karavan Sarai has a new independent release titled “The Moon’s Within Reach”. Karavan Sarai is a mystical world music bridge that connects ancient global melodies from Arabia to India with original compositions made with modern electronics, creating mesmerizing trance-like extended musical pieces.
Instrumentalist, vocalist, composer and producer Narayan Sijan found his inspiration for the album’s lengthy opening suite in the silence and sounds of an ancient sarai (palace) of Egypt. He uses reverberating vocals, various acoustic string instruments from the Middle East and South Asia and electronic ambience to create his fascinating sound.
Sijan is influenced by the meditative power of music and its celebratory, healing, and mystical properties.
