Fondation Suisa has released a compilation titled World VI, featuring some of the leading world music acts in Switzerland. The artists include Yilian Cañizares, Siselabonga, Elina Duni & Rob Luft, Ambäck, Silberen, Tootard, Pablo Nouvelle, Professor Wouassa, Muthoni Drummer Queen, FlexFab & Ziller Bas, Pape Djiby Ba & Swiss African Orchestra, Junior Tshaka, Los Orioles, El Mizan, Kamilya Jubran & Werner Hasler, Udhai Mazumdar & Friends and Ala Fekra.
“In this Corona summer I was on an exploratory tour across the Swiss music landscape. While on the hunt for the unheard, post-migrant, transcultural sounds of Switzerland in 2020, I encountered strikingly original, world-class music that touched me to the core,” says Roberto Haçaturyan, curator of World VI.
