Pakistani artist Ustad Saami is set to release a new album titled Pakistan Is For The Peaceful on Glitterbeat Records. The new recording will be available October 9, 2020.
Ustad Saami is a 49-note scale microtonal vocal master. Pakistan is for the Peaceful presents an immersive work, comprised of only three extended tracks.
The album was produced 100% live at the virtuoso’s rooftop home in Karachi by Grammy-winner Ian Brennan (Tinariwen, Zomba Prison Project, The Good Ones). The musical accompaniment is provided by Ustad’s four sons. Ustad Saami released his debut album God Is Not a Terrorist in 2019.
