Mahadev Mishra was born in 1906 in Allahabad, India

Pandit Mahadev Mishra, who sang in the Mevati and Banaras styles, was born in a family with a musical tradition going back three generations. He learned from his father, Pandit Kedarnath Mishra, and from Pandit Pratap Narain and Pandit Vinayak Rao Patwardhan. He was awarded the degree of ‘”Sangeet Prabhakar” from the Prayag Sangeet Samiti, and honored with the title of “Sur Mani” by the Sur Singar Samsad Mumbai and Sanskriti Shiromani in Mumbai. He performed several concerts all over India and abroad.

Mahadev Mishra died on December 13, 1995.
