Colombian/Belgian band La Chiva Gantiva is set to perform on Thursday, July 23, 8:00 p.m. at Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. Admission is free.
La Chiva Gantiva is led by Rafael Espinel. The Brussels-based bands fuses Afro-Colombian rhythms, rock, Afrobeat, Latin music, and funk. The ensemble sings in Spanish, Frencvh a cmbination of both and has two albums “Vivo” and “Pelao” (a Spanish word with many meanings, including “kid”, “hairless”, or even “broke”).
