International world music conference WOMEX, is calling all world music artists and DJs to submit their applications to perform at the WOMEX 2013 Showcase Festival.
The selected acts will showcase in front of the largest gathering anywhere of international world music concert and festival bookers (around 730 at the 2012 edition). WOMEX 2013 will take place in Cardiff, Wales (UK), from Wednesday, 23 to Sunday, 27 October 2013.
The Showcase Festival (and Conference) selection is made each year by a new group of seven handpicked Jury members – known as the 7 Samurai. In 2012 WOMEX received over 850 artist proposals for around 40 slots.

Thessaloniki, Greece. “All staff, crew, and delegates were extremely professional, fun, knowledgeable, and of the highest caliber.”
The deadline for all Showcase proposals is Friday, April 12th, 2013.
