Tuareg guitar sensation Bombino is returning to North America this spring. Bombino is bringing his rocking desert blues guitar mastery to new locations this year.
Omara “Bombino” Mocta is a young North African guitarist and songwriter who was raised in northern Niger during an era of armed struggles for Tuareg independence.
The electrifying jams on his most recent release, Agadez (available on Cumbancha Discovery), capture the spirit of resistance and rebellion while echoing with guitar riffs reminiscent of fellow Africans Tinariwen and Ali Farka Touré not to mention rock and blues icons such as Jimi Hendrix, John Lee Hooker and Jimmy Page.
