Ulsan World Music Festival 2011 Begins This Week

Korea’s Ulsan World Music Festival 2011 will be be held this week, October 6th through October 10th, 2011 at Ulsan Culture & Arts Centre. The festival brings music and dance from all over the world under the slogan of ‘Cheoyong Welcomes the World’. This year Spain will be presented as the festival’s guest of honor.

Headliners this year are Spain’s Ojos de Brujo (on their farewell tour) and Seun Kuti and Egypt 80 from Nigeria. The rest of the line-up includes Les Yeux Noirs (Black Eyes) from France, and Stockholm Lisboa Project (Portugal, Sweden), Electric Wire Hustle, Palma Habanera.

Ulsan is located in southeastern Korea and it is the seventh largest city in the country, facing the East Sea/Sea of Japan. The major tourist attractions include Ulgi Park, Ulgi lighthouse and Mt. Gajisan Provincial Park. For more information about Ulsan go to:
