L. Shankar is an internationally acclaimed Indian violinist, singer, and composer known for his contributions to East-West musical fusion. Throughout his career, he has recorded and toured with artists including U2, Talking Heads, Allah Rakha, and Zakir Hussain. He also co-founded the influential world fusion ensemble Shakti with John McLaughlin and contributed to numerous film soundtracks, including the Grammy Award-winning Passion.
